We're proud to announce our series of yarn-dyed linen-cotton blend Banshu-ori fabrics. Banshu-ori fabrics are textiles which are dyed and woven in the historical region of Banshu in Hyogo. The town in modern times is known as Nishiwaki City, and the locals have preserved the yarn dyeing and weaving techniques from the early 1700s. The fabrics in our Banshu-ori collection have all been woven by expert millers in modern-day Nishiwaki City. You can read more about Banshu-ori ,
The threads of our Banshu-ori fabric are dyed before being woven, giving the fabric a deep color and soft texture.
This fabric has a gorgeous check design and is available in two colorways. Its linen and cotton blend has a pleasant thickness that is perfect for sewing up garments, tote bags, and cushion covers, scarves, among other DIY and sewing projects.
You can find the stripe design of our yarn-dyed Banshu-ori fabric .
