Vintage Linen Micarta (Bakelaque)

Color:  Half and Half- 

These are the end cut pieces that are a mix of solid brown and butterscotch.  Each set will vary somewhat may have slightly more brown or butterscotch or be a fairly even mix.   One end will be solid brown all the way through and the other will be butterscotch in the middle.

This material was manufactured by Attwater & Sons in the UK but we are unsure of exactly when it was made.  Attwater has been manufacturing phenolic materials under the trade name Bakelaque dating back to the 1920s.
